Tehran, 2 August 2026 (Nosheen): Mohammad Mokhber, Senior Adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Mojtaba Khamenei, has warned that any attack on Iran’s critical infrastructure would have consequences extending beyond the battlefield, claiming it would undermine the U.S. governing system and the Western-led global order. In a statement, Mokhber said the United States evaluates developments primarily through the balance of military power, whereas Iran responds according to what he described as the logic of history and long-term realities.
He asserted that any strikes targeting Iran’s key infrastructure would have repercussions beyond the immediate conflict and could destabilize the international order established by Western powers over the past two and a half centuries. Mokhber further claimed that if the foundational pillars of that system were to collapse, there would no longer be an effective command structure for global leadership or an international market that, in his view, facilitates exploitation and resource extraction. The senior Iranian official said Iran remains prepared to defend its sovereignty, national security, and critical infrastructure, warning that any attack would provoke significant consequences. His remarks come amid continued regional tensions and heightened international concern over security developments involving Iran.
