
Lahore, 05 May 2026(Kamran Raja):A group of 35 trainee Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) from Balochistan visited the Central Police Office Lahore and met Inspector General (IG) Punjab, Abdul Karim. The officers are part of the third specialized training course of Balochistan Police.
During the visit, the participants were given a detailed briefing on Punjab Police’s performance in various areas, including crime control strategies, infrastructure development, smart policing, and public service delivery. The trainee officers appreciated the professionalism and modern initiatives of Punjab Police.
On the occasion, IG Punjab Abdul Karim interacted with the officers and inquired about their training and field experiences. He stated that under the “Safe Punjab” vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, efforts are underway to modernize the police force in line with contemporary requirements.
He further emphasized that, to strengthen inter-provincial coordination, officers from Balochistan, Sindh, and other provinces are being provided advanced training. He also highlighted the importance of gaining experience in office management and administration alongside field duties for police officers.
