Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Meets U.S. Ambassador Natalie Baker; Discusses Regional Situation, Islamabad Talks and Ceasefire ExtensionIslamabad, April 23, 2026(Kamran Raja): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with U.S. Ambassador Natalie Baker for an important discussion on the latest regional developments. The meeting also focused on diplomatic efforts for holding the second round of Islamabad talks.
‎Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised President Donald Trump’s initiative to extend the ceasefire. The meeting emphasized the need for continuity in diplomatic channels for a lasting resolution of the conflict.


‎Mohsin Naqvi stated that the extension of the ceasefire by President Donald Trump is a welcome move and an important step toward reducing tensions. He also expressed hope for positive progress from Iran.


‎The Federal Interior Minister said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal General Asim Munir are making every possible effort at all levels to resolve the issue. He added that it is hoped all parties will give diplomacy and a peaceful solution a fair chance.
‎Natalie Baker appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in maintaining peace in the region and helping resolve the conflict.
