
Rawalpindi, 25 March 2026(Kamran Raja): Pakistan Navy has extended a warm welcome to People’s Liberation Army (Navy) Ship DAQING on its arrival to participate in the 4th iteration of the bilateral maritime exercise SEA GUARDIAN, scheduled from 25 March to 2 April 2026. Upon arrival, the PLA(N) ship was accorded a ceremonial reception and escorted into port by Pakistan Navy vessels in accordance with naval traditions.
The SEA GUARDIAN exercise is aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation through the exchange of maritime expertise and enhanced interoperability between the two friendly navies. The exercise underscores the shared commitment of Pakistan and China towards maintaining regional peace and stability.
The exercise will comprise a series of harbour and sea-phase activities, including subject matter expert engagements, a young officers’ seminar on contemporary maritime issues, gunnery firings, coordinated patrols, and various maritime security operations.
The SEA GUARDIAN series reflects the deep-rooted strategic partnership between Pakistan and China and their mutual resolve to ensure a secure and stable maritime environment in the region. The current iteration is expected to further bolster naval collaboration and reinforce longstanding ties between the two countries.
