
Rawalpindi – 06 November 2025(Kamran Raja): General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), is on an official visit to Brunei Darussalam. During the visit, the CJCSC had an audience with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. The CJCSC also held separate meetings with Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence-II, and Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
During his visit, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza also visited KDB DARULAMAN at Muara Naval Base and the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces. At the Defence Academy, he delivered a talk on “Pakistan’s Contributions to Regional Peace and Stability” and interacted with the students of the Command and Staff Course, which included officers from 19 foreign countries. During the meetings, both sides discussed the evolving global and regional security environment. The Chairman JCSC underscored Pakistan’s cordial relations with Brunei Darussalam and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening military-to-military ties and defence cooperation. His Majesty the Sultan and the civil-military leadership of Brunei Darussalam appreciated the high professional standards of the Pakistan Armed Forces and their significant achievements and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
Upon arrival at the Headquarters Royal Brunei Armed Forces, a smartly turned-out military contingent presented a Guard of Honour to the CJCSC.
