Islamabad, September 02, 2025(Kamran Raja):The China-Pakistan Children’s Painting Competition, themed “Join Hands to Commemorate and Paint Peace Together,” was held to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The event celebrated shared history, honored sacrifices, and reaffirmed the joint commitment of China and Pakistan to peace, justice, and friendship.

Shi Yuanqiang, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Pakistan, stated on Tuesday that the China-Pakistan partnership serves as a model for peace and cooperation among nations, Speaking at the ceremony, dignitaries highlighted the immense suffering endured by the Chinese people during the war and the resilience they demonstrated in defending their homeland. They also recalled the contributions of the people of South Asia, including Pakistan, who supported the Allied forces in resisting Japanese aggression. Despite geographical distance, both nations stood united under the Anti-Fascist banner, sharing the same belief in justice and contributing to the eventual victory.

The event emphasized that the lessons of history remain vital today. While some forces still attempt to undermine global peace through power politics, the unity of nations committed to fairness, justice, and multilateralism can secure a brighter future for humanity. Speakers reiterated China’s and Pakistan’s resolve to safeguard the outcomes of World War II, uphold true multilateralism, and work together for a more equal and inclusive international order.

Children from both countries showcased paintings depicting themes of remembrance, sacrifice, and hope for peace. Their artwork honored the martyrs who laid down their lives, while also planting the seeds of lasting China-Pakistan friendship.

In concluding remarks, participants underscored that today’s children are not only witnesses to peace but also inheritors of peace. They expressed confidence that the younger generation will carry forward the values of harmony and cooperation, ensuring that the China-Pakistan friendship remains evergreen and peace prevails worldwide.
