NICAT Cohort-2 Graduation Day: Celebrating Innovation and Milestones in Pakistan’s Startup Ecosystem The National Incubation Center for Aerospace Technologies (NICAT) celebrated a major milestone with the Graduation of Cohort-2 startups. The event, held at NICAT, brought together the thriving entrepreneurial community, highlighting the remarkable journeys of its startups and recognizing their achievements in the aerospace and technology sectors. The ceremony kicked off with a warm Introduction by Noor ul Huda, Head of Marketing, NICAT, setting the tone for the day’s celebrations. This was followed by a Welcome Note from AVM Asad Ikram (R), Principal Advisor, NICAT, who praised the graduating startups for their hard work and innovation. He also emphasized NICAT’s role in supporting startups and the importance of partnerships in fostering growth. “Five of our startups are heading to Dubai Gitex to showcase their work on an international stage,” he proudly announced while extending his gratitude to the cohort for their dedication. Ayub Ghauri, President of NICAT, in his address, reflected on the journey of the startups and the pivotal role NICAT played in mentoring them. He extended his thanks to NASTP for their collaboration and commended the startups’ relentless hard work. "NICAT has served as a critical platform for these startups, helping them grow and excel in their fields," Ayub Ghauri stated, congratulating both the startups and the NICAT team for their commitment and effort. Throughout the event, each startup from Cohort-2 shared their journey, success stories, and the impact NICAT had on their growth: • DynaSys Networks: Proud recipients of the PASHA ICT Award and licensed by PTA, DynaSys thanked NICAT for being an integral part of their journey and providing ongoing support. • AceAeronautics: Makers of Pakistan's first collision-resilient drone and winners of the PASHA Gold Award 2023, they credited NICAT for guiding them from the ideation stage to success. • AiBL: Developers of a revolutionary medical prototype, they extended their gratitude to NICAT for supporting them from the early stages. • Grow Up Tech Solutions: Winners of over 20 competitions, they represented Pakistan on global platforms, with NICAT’s mentorship playing a significant role in their growth. • Eligient Intelligence: Creators of AI-driven solutions for the legal industry, thanked NICAT’s leadership for helping them build their product and scale their business. • International Vacuum Centre (IVC): Shared how NICAT helped transform their idea into a successful business, providing support in developing their business and financial models. • Inlights: Innovators of AI-driven smart traffic signals, expressed their appreciation for NICAT’s assistance in legal, financial, and networking aspects. • ForresOn: Dedicated to combating deforestation, they acknowledged NICAT’s help in expanding their network and reaching the right audience. • RedMarker: Developers of a cutting-edge platform, shared how NICAT helped them in their product development and market reach. • CarboTech: Converted their FYP into a successful business with NICAT’s support, raising 1.5 million in investment during their journey. The day continued with a Keynote Address by AVM Rana Anees, DG ASD, NASTP, who commended NICAT for its efforts in nurturing startups and fostering innovation in Pakistan. Imran Jattala, Project Director of NICAT, concluded the event with his Closing Note, congratulating the startups and encouraging them to continue growing. He reiterated the support available from MoITT, Ignite NTF, NASTP, PAC Kamra and Air University to help startups scale and create jobs for the future.
