5 more members have been added to the special assistants of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif

The federal cabinet has been expanded and 5 more special assistants have been appointed to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, after which the total number of members of the federal cabinet has increased to 83. National Assembly members Rao Ajmal, Shaista Pervez, Hamid Hameed, Qaiser Sheikh and Malik Sohail have been included in the assistants of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. It should be noted that the number of federal cabinet members, federal ministers, advisors and special assistants was reduced from 78 to 30 in the very first meeting of the austerity committee created by the government to reduce expenses due to difficult economic conditions on January 25.

It was said to be limited to, however, the government has increased its number to 83 by adding 5 more members. The austerity committee had also suggested transferring the heavy burden of ongoing civil expenditure of 553 billion rupees of the federal ministries to the provinces. The committee insisted on the complete transfer of the ministries coming under the purview of the provinces under the 18th Amendment.
