𝗛𝗘𝗖 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝘀

 ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن (ایچ ای سی)، پاکستان نے پاکستان اسٹڈیز پر ایک کورس تیار کیا ہے، اورانڈر گریجویٹ ایجوکیشن پالیسی کے تعلیمی جزو میں اس کو شامل کرنے پر زور دیا ہے۔ اس سلسلے میں ایچ ای سی کی کورس ڈیزائن کمیٹی نے ایچ ای سی ریجنل سینٹرکراچی میں ایک اہم اجلاس منعقد کیا جس میں انڈر گریجویٹ پروگرامز کے لیے دو کریڈٹ کورس ’پاکستان اسٹڈیز‘ کے عنوان سے تشکیل دیا گیا۔ ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر ایچ ای سی محمد علی بیگ نے سیشن کا آغازکیا۔ انہوں نے پاکستان اسٹڈیز پر ایک باریک بینی سے تیار کردہ کورس کی ضرورت پر زور دیا جو طلباء کو پاکستان کی شناخت کی ایک جامع دریافت پیش کرے، جس میں پاکستان کی جغرافیائی، تاریخی اور ثقافتی جہتیں شامل ہیں۔ کمیٹی میں شعبہ کے ممتاز ماہرین شامل تھے جن میں چیئرپرسن شعبہ پاکستان سٹڈیز، گورنمنٹ کالج یونیورسٹی، فیصل آباد، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالقادر مشتاق، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبدالقادر مشتاق شامل تھے۔ چیئرمین شعبہ پاکستان سٹڈیز، بہاؤالدین زکریا یونیورسٹی، ملتان، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر جاوید اختر سلیانہ۔ چیئرمین ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف ہسٹری اینڈ پاکستان اسٹڈیز، پنجاب یونیورسٹی، لاہور، ڈاکٹر محبوب حسین؛ ڈائریکٹر پاکستان اسٹڈی سینٹر، بلوچستان یونیورسٹی، کوئٹہ، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد عثمان؛ ڈائریکٹر پاکستان سٹڈی سنٹر، پنجاب یونیورسٹی، لاہور، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نعمانہ کرن؛ ڈائریکٹر پاکستان اسٹڈی سینٹر، سندھ یونیورسٹی، جامشور، ڈاکٹر شجاع احمد مہیسر؛ ڈائریکٹر نیشنل انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف پاکستان اسٹڈیز، قائداعظم یونیورسٹی، اسلام آباد، ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد حنیف خان؛ چیئرپرسن شعبہ پاکستان اسٹڈیز، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور، ایسوسی ایٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر روبینہ یاسمین۔ اور انچارج پاکستان اسٹڈی سینٹر، جامعہ کراچی، اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ارم مظفر۔ کمیٹی نے کورس کو ڈیزائن کیا اور انڈرگریجویٹ ایجوکیشن پالیسی کے عمومی تعلیم کے جزو میں اس کی شمولیت کی اہمیت پر زور دیا۔ تاہم، کمیٹی نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ اس کورس کو موجودہ "آئیڈیالوجی اینڈ کنسٹی ٹیوشن آف پاکستان" کورس کے متبادل کے طور پر کام نہیں کرنا چاہیے جیسا کہ اسی پالیسی میں بیان کیا گیا ہے۔ THE PAKISTAN TIMES

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has developed a course on Pakistan Studies, with an emphasis on integrating it into the educational component of Higher Education Policy V. 1.1.

In this regard, the HEC Course Design Committee held an important meeting at the HEC Regional Center in Karachi to develop a two-credit course titled “Pakistan Studies” for the university program.

Deputy Director of HEC, Mr.Muhammad Ali Baig begins the session by explaining the logic and parameters that guide the consultation process. He emphasized the need for a meticulously crafted course in Pakistan Studies that would provide students with a comprehensive exploration of Pakistan’s identity, including geographical, historical and cultural aspects.

The Committee comprises eminent experts in the field, including Chairman, Department of Pakistan Studies, Government College University, Faisalabad, Professor Abdul Qadir Mushtaq; Dean of the Department of Pakistan Studies, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Professor.Dr. Javed Akhtar Salyana; Chairman, Department of History and Pakistan Studies, Punjab University, Lahore, Dr. Mahboob Hussain;, Director, Center for Pakistan Studies, University of Balochistan, Quetta, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Usman; Director of the Center for Pakistan Studies, Punjab University, Lahore, Professor.Dr. Naumana Kiran; Director, Center for Pakistan Studies, University of Sindh, Jamshore, Dr. Shuja Ahmed Mahesar; Director of Pakistan National Research Institute, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Hanif Khan; Dean, Department of Pakistan Studies, Islamia University Bahawalpur, Associate Professor Dr. Robina Yasmin; and Director, Center for Pakistan Studies, University of Karachi, Assistant Professor Ph.D.Erum Muzaffar.

The Committee designed the course and emphasized the importance of integrating it into the general education component of Higher Education Policy V 1.1. However, he emphasized that the course should not replace the existing course on “Ideology and Constitution of Pakistan” as stated in the same policy.
