Pakistan’s Liquid Foreign Reserves PositionThe total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 12,206.4 million as of 08-Dec-2023. The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 7,040.8 million ii) Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks : US$ 5,165.6 million iii) Total liquid foreign reserves : US$ 12,206.4 millionDuring the week ended on 08-Dec-2023, SBP’s reserves increased by US$ 21 million to US$ 7,040.8 million.Editor: Raja Kamran

Ministry of Defence has appointed Vice Admiral Ovais Ahmed Bilgrami as Vice Chief of the Naval Staff. The admiral was commissioned in Operations Branch of Pakistan Navy in 1989.
