Pakistan Successfully Launches Remote Sensing Satellite, Marking a New Era in Technological Advancement
Islamabad, July 31, 2025(Kamran Raja): In a landmark achievement for Pakistan’s space program and technological progress, the country has successfully launched its Remote Sensing Satellite (RSS) from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre (XSLC) in China. Developed and launched by SUPARCO (Pakistan’s national space agency), in close collaboration with China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) and MICROSAT China, the satellite marks a significant stride toward Pakistan's goal of building a robust Earth observation capability. This achievement places Pakistan firmly among the growing ranks of space-faring nations committed to harnessing space technology for sustainable development.
