NDMA Issues Hydrological Alert for River Sutlej Amid Rising Water Levels

Islamabad – August 5, 2025(Ghufran): The National Disaster Management Authority’s (NDMA) National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) has issued a hydrological alert regarding the River Sutlej, warning of a rising trend in water discharge due to ongoing monsoon activity and upstream rainfall across the border. According to NEOC, active monsoon currents are penetrating the upper and central parts of Pakistan, while a westerly trough persists over the northern areas.
