FIA Intensifies Crackdown on Illegal Acquisition of Pakistani Identity Documents by Foreign Nationals

Islamabad, 24 June 2026(Kamran Raja): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has significantly intensified its nationwide operations against foreign nationals, particularly Afghan nationals, involved in the illegal acquisition of Pakistani Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) and passports through fraudulent means.These coordinated enforcement actions are aimed at dismantling organized criminal networks engaged in identity fraud, document forgery, human smuggling, and the unlawful use of Pakistani travel documents for international movement and other illegal activities.As a result of these sustained operations, FIA has registered 95 First Information Reports (FIRs) and booked 412 accused persons linked to the issuance, procurement, and utilization of fake, forged, tempered,...
