UN food agency suspends operations in Gaza after vehicle hit by Israeli gunfire
The UN's food organization has said it is stopping movements of its staff in war desolated Gaza "until additional notification" after one of its vehicles was struck by Israeli gunfire close to a tactical designated spot.
"This is absolutely unsuitable and the most recent in a progression of superfluous security occurrences that have jeopardized the existences of WFP's group in Gaza," Cindy McCain, World Food Program (WFP) leader chief, said in a proclamation gave in Rome on Wednesday.
Only some meters away from that designated spot at the wadi Gaza bridge WFP detailed that the vehicle supported something like 10 projectiles - five on the driver's side, two on the traveler side and three on different pieces of it.
