Chinese PR Amb Zhang Jun pays a farewell call on Ambassador Munir Akram

March 16, 2024, New York: H.E. Ambassador Zhang Jun, the permanent representative of the People’s Republic of China, paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Munir Akram at the Pakistan Mission in New York. Both the PRs discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed their satisfaction on the current level of engagement at the UN. March 07, 2024, New York: Pakistan has voiced opposition to the G-4 model for UN Security Council (UNSC) Reform, as presented by India on behalf of the Group of Four during the IGN meeting. Ambassador Akram criticized the G-4 model, labeling it as undemocratic, unaccountable, and inequitable, asserting that it does not serve its intended purpose. During his remarks at the fourth IGN meeting on the UNSC Reform, Ambassador Akram questioned the rationale and intentions of the G-4 countries in proposing this reform model. Deputies of the House of Representatives of the 8th of the  National Assembly and local councils of deputies of the 29th legislature elected. Registration of delegate candidates ended on January 30. The campaign period runs from January 31 to February 24. February 25 is the main election day. Early voting takes place from February 20 to 24. A total of 5,411 polling stations are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on February 25. Additionally, some voters can vote at home. No less than 45,505 national observers followed the debates. February 5, 2024, New York:  On Kashmir Solidarity Day, we commemorate the sacrifices made by heroic Kashmiri people in their enduring struggle for freedom and self determination against India's brutal occupation since 1947.
