30 January 2025, Islamabad, ( kamran Raja): Mr. Wang Hui Hua speech during the spring festival event. Your Excellency, Minister of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, esteemed guests, and dear Chinese friends,
Happy New Year, I would like to begin by expressing my heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Pakistan, particularly the Ministry of Planning, for organizing this special event to celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival. Your unwavering support and warm hospitality mean a great deal to us, and we deeply appreciate the efforts made to recognize the invaluable contributions of Chinese professionals in Pakistan.
Today, we gather to celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival, a joyous occasion that marks the beginning of the new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. This ancient festival is a time for family reunions, new beginnings, and fresh hopes. For overseas Chinese in Pakistan, the festival holds profound significance as it serves as a bridge connecting us to our heritage, our culture, and our roots. Despite being far from our homeland, the enduring friendship between Pakistanis and Chinese has played a pivotal role in enabling us to celebrate this festival with enthusiasm.
The strong bonds between our two nations have created a welcoming environment for Chinese expatriates and businesses in Pakistan. Over the years, Pakistan has been a gracious host to the Chinese community, offering opportunities to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the local economy. In return, China has remained a steadfast partner in Pakistan’s development journey, collaborating on numerous projects and initiatives that have brought prosperity and progress to both nations. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) stands as a shining beacon of this cooperation, not only strengthening our economic ties but also fostering greater people-to-people exchanges.
CPEC is more than just a corridor of infrastructure and investment; it is a bridge of brotherhood, fostering deep-rooted solidarity and mutual respect. It embodies our shared vision for regional connectivity, economic integration, and sustainable development. As we look to the future, it is important that we build upon this foundation of brotherhood by fostering even greater collaboration. we can take this spirit of friendship forward and pave the way for shared prosperity.
As we mark this occasion, let us also pay tribute to the Chinese teams and Pakistani security personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice while working on Chinese projects in Pakistan over the past years. Their bravery and dedication will not be forgotten. May their memories continue to inspire us as we strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between our nations. Also, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the people of Xizang who have suffered from the recent earthquake. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Moreover, would like to express my sincere appreciation to all Chinese nationals who are working even today despite holidays at home are tirelessly on various projects in Pakistan, despite being away from their families during the Spring Festival. Your hard work and dedication are the backbone of our bilateral cooperation, and we are truly grateful for your contributions.
As we step into this new year, let us reaffirm our commitment to working together for a future filled with mutual respect, economic prosperity, and cultural harmony. Let us continue to cherish and nurture the spirit of Pakistan-China friendship and work collectively towards a brighter, more interconnected future for all.
At the end, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all of you on this joyous occasion. May the Chinese Spring Festival bring us closer to our heritage, to each other, and to the spirit of Pakistan-China friendship. May our bonds continue to strengthen, and may we work together towards a brighter future for all in this Year of the Snake.
Wishing you all prosperity and happiness! And long live Pak China friendship
