Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf called an in-camera session of the National Assembly on Friday (today). According to the sources, apart from members of the National Assembly, ministers and advisors, Army Chief General Asim Munir and DG-ISI General Nadeem Anjum will specially participate in the meeting. Sources say that the military officials will give a briefing on the internal and external challenges facing the country’s security.
Also, on Thursday, the National Assembly unanimously rejected the bill to provide 21 billion rupees for the elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Earlier, after the Standing Committee on Finance of the National Assembly, the Standing Committee on Finance of the Senate has also rejected the Money Bill 2023 regarding the general elections in the province of Punjab sent by the Parliament.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says that an in-camera briefing will be given to the National Assembly today, if the members want, they can also ask questions. He said that absolutely nothing will be done to make the situation worse but efforts will be made to improve the situation.
