BANNU, 12 October, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Security forces have killed a terrorist during an intelligence-based operation in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to security sources. The operation was launched after intelligence reports confirmed the presence of a terrorist in the area. Security personnel are continuing surveillance of militant movements to prevent terrorist activities and restrict their operational capabilities. According to security sources, ongoing counterterrorism operations are helping disrupt militant networks and limit their movement across the province. The operation was conducted under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, which aims to strengthen the country’s efforts to combat terrorism. Security forces have reiterated their commitment to eliminating terrorism from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, emphasizing that operations against militants will continue until the threat is completely eliminated.
