Saudi Arabia to Host 24th ERRA Annual Conference in Riyadh in 2027

Riyadh, April 28, 2026(Kamran Raja): The Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority (SERA) has announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been selected to host the 24th Annual Conference of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA), scheduled to take place in Riyadh from February 1 to 3, 2027. The conference will be held under the theme “From Oversight to Foresight: The Proactive Regulator in the Electricity Transformation.”

The hosting underscores SERA’s leading role in advancing innovative and proactive regulatory models within the global electricity sector. It also aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to position the Kingdom as a premier destination for international forums and conferences.

The announcement was made during the 23rd Annual ERRA Conference, currently being held in Slovakia, where SERA is participating as an active member of the association.

The Kingdom’s delegation is led by Eng. Abdulrahman bin Saad Al-Mozan, Vice Governor of Economic Affairs and Licensing at SERA. During the conference, SERA highlighted its regulatory advancements and initiatives through a working paper presented by Eng. Abdulilah bin Rawdan Al-Shaiee, Vice Governor of Consumer Affairs.

The paper was delivered during a panel session titled “Transforming Retail Supply and Customer Engagement,” showcasing SERA’s experience in developing robust regulatory frameworks and strengthening consumer protection mechanisms within the electricity sector.
