New York, June 30, 2026(Kamran Raja): Saudi Arabia highlighted its premium locally produced dates and a wide range of value-added date products at the Summer Fancy Food Show 2026 in New York City, reinforcing the Kingdom’s growing position as a leading global exporter of dates. Participating as the Partner Country, Saudi Arabia was represented by Saudi Dates at the international exhibition, held from June 28 to 30. The event brought together 2,400 exhibitors from 50 countries and is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors from around the world, providing an important platform to promote high-quality food products and strengthen international trade partnerships.
The National Center for Palms and Dates said the participation of several Saudi date companies offers a valuable opportunity to introduce their premium and value-added date products to the U.S. market while expanding their presence in one of the world’s largest food industries. The exhibition also serves as a gateway for building new business partnerships and increasing exports. The center emphasized that Saudi dates are recognized for their exceptional quality, nutritional value, and adherence to international production standards. Participation in major international exhibitions strengthens the global reputation of Saudi dates and supports efforts to increase their competitiveness in international markets. Saudi Arabia’s palm and date sector has achieved remarkable growth in recent years, reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to agricultural development and economic diversification under Saudi Vision 2030. Annual date production has reached nearly 2 million tons, making Saudi Arabia one of the world’s leading date producers.
The Kingdom now exports dates to more than 125 countries, with the total value of date exports reaching nearly SAR 2 billion, demonstrating rising global demand for Saudi dates and the continued expansion of the sector’s international market presence. Saudi Arabia’s participation in the Summer Fancy Food Show reflects its broader strategy to promote national agricultural products, enhance non-oil exports, and strengthen the global competitiveness of Saudi food industries.
