Reception in London in honor of the delegates of the Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting in collaboration with the Government of Pakistan and the British Council.
Youth ministers, senior officials and representatives of various organizations from Commonwealth member countries attended the reception in large numbers.
Important personalities of the British Pakistani community and prominent business people were also present in the reception.
Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani welcomed the delegates in the reception as the Chairperson
The Foreign Minister commended the Commonwealth Secretariat, Secretary General Patricia Scotland and her team for the excellent arrangements for the meeting.
He thanked the British Council and the Government of Great Britain for their cooperation with Pakistan in holding the meeting successfully
He said that Pakistan and Britain are good friends and close partners. Our friendship is based on common heritage, values and mutual goodwill
The Foreign Minister described the 1.6 million British Pakistanis in the UK as an asset to the country and appreciated their positive role in the development of UK-Pakistan relations.
Commonwealth Secretary General Patricia Scotland appreciated the talent of Pakistani youth and appreciated the cultural beauty of Pakistan.
