LAHORE, 28 September, 2026 (Ghufran): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has convened an important meeting on Tuesday to review ongoing development projects in Murree, including the rehabilitation of Mall Road and reconstruction of Jhika Gali Chowk. Maryam Nawaz travelled from Lahore to Islamabad on a special aircraft, where she is scheduled to receive a briefing on various development schemes in Murree. According to sources, the meeting is also expected to include consultations with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on different aspects of the Murree Development Plan. Proposals for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Mall Road and Jhika Gali Chowk will be considered, while the issue of compensation payments to residents affected by the Mall Road Hillside project is also expected to be discussed. Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been staying in Changla Gali, Murree, for the past week.
