
Islamabad, 6 November 2025(News Desk): H.E. Ali Yerlikaya, Interior Minister of the Republic of Türkiye, who is currently on an official visit to Pakistan, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad today. During the warm and cordial meeting, the Prime Minister welcomed Minister Yerlikaya and his accompanying delegation, noting that the visit underscored the deep-rooted and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Türkiye. The Prime Minister extended his warm regards and greetings to H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas including security, counter-terrorism, counter-narcotics, police training, disaster management, trade, and economic development.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated Türkiye’s steadfast support for Pakistan on key regional and international issues. He also thanked the Turkish leadership for its constructive role in facilitating the ongoing peace talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Istanbul. Minister Yerlikaya conveyed cordial greetings from President Erdoğan and expressed Türkiye’s strong desire to enhance collaboration with Pakistan in the fields of law enforcement, intelligence-sharing, and disaster management. The Prime Minister was assisted in the meeting by the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Interior Minister, Minister of State for Interior, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, Chairman NDMA, Interior Secretary, and Foreign Secretary.
