President Zardari Calls for Strengthening Pakistan–Morocco Ties

Islamabad, 12 August 2025(Kamran Raja): President Asif Ali Zardari has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening fraternal relations with the Kingdom of Morocco, grounded in common faith, shared values, and mutual respect. He expressed these views during a meeting with the Ambassador of Morocco, Mr. Mohamed Karmoune, who called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr today. The President thanked Morocco for its support to Pakistan during the 2022 floods, noting that such gestures reflected the depth of friendship between the two nations. He underscored the importance Pakistan attaches to its economic relations with Morocco and highlighted the vast potential for expanding bilateral cooperation in diverse sectors.

President Zardari observed that Africa is poised for significant economic growth in the coming years and praised Morocco’s remarkable economic development, stating that the country is well-positioned to lead this transformation and contribute to regional prosperity. Reaffirming the close and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Morocco, the President extended his best wishes for the continued health of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. He also requested the Ambassador to convey the goodwill and warm regards of the people of Pakistan to the King and the people of Morocco.
