Islamabad, April 10, 2026( Kamran Raja):The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President, Syed Mohsen Gillani, has congratulated the nation on the historic and record-breaking victory achieved by the Pakistan women’s football team in their opening match of the FIFA International Friendly Series campaign.
In his statement, President Gillani dedicated the landmark victory to the leadership of the country, acknowledging their efforts toward peace and stability.
“At a time when our Prime Minister and Chief of Defence Staff are playing a historic role for peace, our girls have created history on the football field,” he said. “We dedicate this remarkable victory to our leadership for their unwavering commitment and dedication to the nation.”
He further expressed confidence in the future of women’s football in Pakistan, emphasizing that the team’s achievement marks the beginning of a new and promising era.
“The golden era for Pakistan women’s football is dawning upon us. Our players are proving to the world that Pakistan’s women can compete and excel at the highest level. The PFF remains fully committed to supporting and developing women’s football across the country,” he added.
President Gillani reaffirmed that the federation will continue to take all necessary steps to promote football at the grassroots and elite levels, ensuring that Pakistan’s presence on the international stage continues to grow stronger.
