Islamabad,22 April 2026(Kamran Raja): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday held a meeting with British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott to discuss the evolving regional situation and ongoing diplomatic efforts for peace.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting focused on regional developments and the importance of sustained engagement among key stakeholders. Dar highlighted Pakistan’s continued efforts to facilitate dialogue and promote diplomatic solutions to regional disputes.
He emphasized that peaceful resolution through dialogue remains essential for maintaining stability in an increasingly complex geopolitical environment.
The British High Commissioner appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role and expressed support for its efforts in facilitating engagement between the United States and Iran. She acknowledged Islamabad’s contribution in encouraging diplomatic channels and reducing tensions in the region.
Pakistan has consistently advocated for dialogue and diplomacy as key tools for conflict resolution, while maintaining a balanced approach in its foreign policy.
