Islamabad, October 7, 2025 (Kamran Raja): The Pakistan–Saudi Arabia Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG), chaired by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf Zaman, held a meeting with a visiting delegation of the Saudi Shura Council at the Parliament House, Islamabad.
The Saudi delegation was led by Eng. Khaled Abdullah Al Buraik and included Mr. Ahmed Abdulrahman, Dr. Ebtisam Abdullah Al Jubair, and senior officials of the Shura Council. Members of the National Assembly Mr. Mujahid Ali, Syed Hafeezuddin, Ms. Zeb Jaffar, Ms. Sehar Kamran, Ms. Shagufta Jumani, and Mr. Muhammad Usman Badini attended the meeting.
Welcoming the delegation, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf Zaman said the visit reflects the deep-rooted brotherhood and partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He highlighted the recent Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement as a milestone in strengthening bilateral relations and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom.
The Group emphasized the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation and people-to-people contacts. They noted that the Pakistan–Saudi Arabia Parliamentary Friendship Group serves as a key platform to advance joint initiatives and legislative collaboration.
Eng. Khaled Abdullah Al Buraik expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality and reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Pakistan in defence, trade, investment, technology, renewable energy, and parliamentary exchanges.
Both sides agreed to continue regular parliamentary engagement to promote mutual understanding and strengthen the brotherly ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
