Pakistan Ready to Welcome UAE Investment in Key Growth Sectors: PM Shehbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD, 8th December(Kamran Raja): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday reaffirmed Pakistan’s readiness to welcome enhanced investment from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in renewable energy, artificial intelligence, fintech, agriculture, and the minerals sector.

Addressing a ceremony marking the 54th National Day of the UAE, the Prime Minister highlighted the strong and steadily growing bilateral partnership between the two brotherly nations.

“The economic partnership of Pakistan and the UAE is a shining example. The UAE is lending critical support to Pakistan’s stabilizing economy,” the Prime Minister noted.

Extending warm felicitations to the UAE leadership and people, he conveyed greetings to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, federal ministers, parliamentarians, diplomats, and distinguished guests from various walks of life.

Recalling his fond memories, the Prime Minister said he had always regarded the UAE as a land of possibilities long before its present-day transformation. He lauded the extraordinary achievements of the UAE, crediting both its current leadership and the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whom he recognized as the architect of the deep-rooted Pakistan–UAE brotherhood.

“Today, we honour the enduring spirit of brotherhood that binds our two nations. Pakistan takes great pride in its strategic partnership with the UAE, which continues to deepen across every domain of life,” he emphasized.

Highlighting people-to-people linkages, he noted that the 1.8 million Pakistanis living in the UAE were contributing significantly to its development and regarded it as their second home.

In his remarks, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Salem Al Bawab Al Zaabi reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to further strengthening ties with Pakistan in economy, energy, artificial intelligence, and other key sectors. He said both nations shared common values and a shared vision for regional peace and development.

To mark the occasion, the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and the UAE Ambassador jointly cut a cake celebrating the 54th National Day of the UAE.
