PARIS, August 15, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Pakistan and France held a high-level bilateral consultation meeting in Paris on Friday to discuss key global issues and strengthen cooperation across multiple sectors.According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the consultations were held under the framework of the 2023 Bilateral Roadmap, aimed at further strengthening bilateral engagement between the two countries.The dialogue focused on enhancing cooperation in multilateral affairs and promoting joint efforts to address pressing regional and global challenges.During the consultations, Pakistan and France reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening dialogue and strengthening bilateral cooperation. The two sides also exchanged views on recent regional and international security developments.Both countries agreed to expand engagement and maintain close coordination at various multilateral forums, particularly on issues related to international peace and security.The discussions covered a range of important issues, including United Nations peacekeeping operations, UN structural reforms and measures to counter terrorism.The two sides concluded the consultations by agreeing to hold the next round of the Pakistan-France bilateral consultations in Islamabad.
