Karachi, March 28, 2025(kamran Raja): The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) and the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi have signed a Partnership Agreement to introduce a Diploma in Aviation Leadership and Management. The agreement was signed by Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed SI(M), Director General, PAA, and Prof. Dr. S Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director & Chairman, IBA Karachi, at a ceremony held at PAA Headquarters. Deputy Director General Airports, Sadiq Ur Rehman, and Deputy Director General Works and Development Sumair Saeed were also present on the occasion. The event was attended by senior officials from IBA and PAA, along with key aviation stakeholders, including CEOs, COOs, and directors from Pakistan’s aviation industry.
This collaboration aims to equip aviation professionals with advanced leadership skills to meet the evolving challenges of the industry. The diploma program will offer comprehensive training in aviation management, strategic decision-making, and modern leadership practices.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. S Akbar Zaidi highlighted the importance of building leadership capacity in aviation, emphasizing that the program will bridge academic expertise and industry needs. AVM Zeeshan Saeed SI(M), DG PAA, underscored the role of effective leadership in modernizing Pakistan’s aviation infrastructure, ensuring sustainable growth and operational excellence. Sumair Saeed, Deputy Director General (Works & Development), PAA, who also serves as Director of the Civil Aviation Training Institute (CATI), Hyderabad, spoke about the ongoing modernization efforts at CATI to meet international standards. He noted that this partnership with IBA will bring fresh momentum to learning at both institutions, fostering a truly global perspective in aviation education.
The Diploma in Leadership Aviation Management will be open to aviation professionals, providing a blend of academic learning and practical industry insights from IBA faculty and aviation experts.
