Islamabad, August 4, 2026(Nosheen): In a major step towards improving public services for overseas Pakistanis, the Pakistan High Commission in London has launched a Direct Digital Property Transfer Facility for properties located in Punjab, enabling Pakistanis living abroad to complete property transfers securely and efficiently without travelling to Pakistan. The initiative, introduced in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of enhancing facilities for overseas Pakistanis and expanding the scope of consular services, allows property transfers to be completed entirely through a secure digital system.

Under the new mechanism, overseas Pakistanis are no longer required to appoint a power of attorney, engage third-party representatives, or rely on agents for transferring their properties. The digital process is designed to ensure greater transparency, efficiency, speed, and cost-effectiveness while safeguarding the interests of property owners. The High Commission stated that the facility significantly reduces the time, cost, and inconvenience associated with travelling to Pakistan solely for property-related transactions, making the process more accessible for Pakistanis residing abroad.

As part of the successful implementation of the initiative, the digital transfer of property belonging to Mr. Fazal and his family has been completed through the new system, demonstrating the effectiveness and reliability of the digital platform. The Pakistan High Commission in London reaffirmed its commitment to serving overseas Pakistanis by providing every possible assistance in facilitating the direct digital transfer of their properties and ensuring the delivery of modern, citizen-centric consular services.
