Islamabad, August 28, 2025(Nosheen Raja): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ms. Jane Marriott, in Islamabad today. The two sides discussed Pakistan–UK relations and explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas.
Discussions focused on expanding collaboration in counter-terrorism, counter-narcotics, border security, and combating human trafficking. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing institutional linkages and working together on shared security challenges.
High Commissioner Jane Marriott congratulated Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on being conferred with the Nishan-e-Imtiaz and extended her best wishes. She also expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives in Pakistan due to recent floods and rains, offering heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi underlined Pakistan’s unwavering stance as a proponent of peace and its firm condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. He noted that the United Kingdom is an important partner in Pakistan’s path to progress and development. The Minister further emphasized Pakistan’s resolve to enhance bilateral cooperation with the UK in all areas of mutual interest.
