11 January 2025, Islamabad(Kamtran Raja): Chinese New Year 2025 falls on January 29, marking the beginning of the Year of the Snake. This significant event is being celebrated worldwide, particularly with festivities including red decorations, elaborate meals, and family reunions.
The Snake, symbolizing wisdom and transformation, represents a shift from the energetic and dynamic Year of the Dragon. People born in the Year of the Snake are known for their wisdom, intuition, and mystery.
Everyone will witness to see traditional activities like lighting firecrackers, which originated from the legend of the monster Nian, and decorating homes with red decorations to ward off evil spirits.
The Chinese New Year holiday typically lasts for seven days, from the Lunar New Year’s Eve to the sixth day of the first lunar month, with some companies and institutions enjoying a longer holiday period. With reference to this new year celebrations Chinese Embassy in Pakistan Organized the event with the name of Embracing the Chinese New Year 2025.
