DUSHANBE, 20 October, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday called on Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe along with heads of government and delegations of member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). President Rahmon welcomed the visiting leaders and emphasized the importance of strengthening regional economic cooperation under the SCO framework to promote connectivity, stability and shared prosperity. Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar joined the leaders and delegations of SCO member states attending the 25th meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government in Dushanbe. The participants were welcomed at the summit venue by Tajikistan Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda. The meeting provides an opportunity for member states to strengthen regional cooperation, enhance economic ties and promote connectivity for the collective development and prosperity of the region.
