
Islamabad, November 11, 2025(Kamran Raja): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar addressed the inaugural session of the 6th Margalla Dialogue today, commending the Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) for organizing the event under the timely and thought-provoking theme, “The Future of Global Order: Cooperation or Confrontation.” In his address, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister underscored the crucial role of multilateralism in an era increasingly defined by unilateralism, polarization, and trade wars. He emphasized that multilateral institutions must be reinforced to effectively tackle global challenges such as climate change, polarization, terrorism, and the erosion of international law and norms.
Senator Dar cautioned that these global trends pose serious threats to international peace, security, and sustainable development, and urged the international community to renew its commitment to cooperation, dialogue, and justice. Reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to peace, dialogue, and inclusive development, he stressed the importance of collective efforts in building a fair, balanced, and cooperative global order capable of addressing shared challenges and ensuring a stable future. He concluded by reaffirming that only through genuine partnership and mutual respect among nations can the world secure lasting peace and prosperity for all.
