Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China co-chaired the 6th Round of the Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue

Islamabad – August 21, 2025(Kamran Raja): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China, H.E. Wang Yi, co-chaired the 6th Round of the Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue in Islamabad today. During the Dialogue, both sides comprehensively reviewed the entire spectrum of Pakistan-China relations and held extensive discussions on important regional and global developments. The two Foreign Ministers exchanged in-depth views on advancing cooperation across multiple domains, including the upgradation of CPEC into its second phase (CPEC 2.0), trade and economic relations, multilateral cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges.

Reaffirming the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, the two sides emphasized that the Pakistan-China friendship remains pivotal for maintaining regional peace and stability, as well as indispensable for the progress and prosperity of both nations. The Foreign Ministers also underscored the importance of continued close coordination and communication, both at the bilateral level and within multilateral forums, to further strengthen the longstanding ties between Pakistan and China.
