UN Urges India and Pakistan to Exercise Maximum Restraint Amid Tensions in Jammu and Kashmir

United Nations 25 April 2025(Kamran Raja):  The United Nations has called on both India and Pakistan to exercise maximum restraint following the recent attack in the Indian-administered region of Jammu and Kashmir.Speaking at a press briefing, UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric stated that while Secretary-General António Guterres has not had direct contact with either government in the past 24 hours, he is closely monitoring the situation.“We urge both governments to show the utmost restraint and to ensure that the situation does not escalate further,” Dujarric said.
