New UK E Visas for Pakistani students and workers

Islamabad, 15 July 2025(Kamran Raja): Most main applicants travelling to the UK on study or work-related visas will no longer need a physical sticker visa in passports from today (15 July). The UK Government is replacing physical immigration documents for most student and worker visas with a digital proof of immigration status, an eVisa. An eVisa is an online record of a person’s immigration permission in the UK, and any conditions which apply, which can be viewed by creating and accessing an online UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account. eVisas are part of an enhanced border and immigration system that will not only make the visa process easier, but is more secure, digital and streamlined. eVisas are tried and tested, with millions of people already using them on select immigration route...

Karachi,Pakistan 14 July, 2025(Kamran Raja): In a significant inter-agency effort, the Pakistan Navy (PN), Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC) and the Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department (Narcotics Control Wing, Sindh), successfully conducted a Joint Maritime Operation and Intelligence Based Operation (IB0) in the Arabian Sea.During surveillance and coordinated maritime patrols, a stateless vessel was intercepted and boarded. A detailed search revealed over 500 kilograms of Hashish and Crystal Ice (Methamphetamine). Japan Funded FAO Project Helps Restore Farming and Livestock Livelihoods in Flood Hit Pakistan

Islamabad 14 July 2025(Kamran Raja): The Food and Agriculture organization of the United Nations (FAO) has concluded a critical emergency project that provided support to flood-affected farming and herding communities in Pakistan Balochistan and Sindh provinces, made possible through generous funding from the Government of Japan.  The FAO-led intervention, backed by a contribution of USD 6.48 million, focused on restoring food production, improving household nutrition, and building longer-term resilience in areas devastated by the unprecedented 2022 floods. Over 74,000 households equivalent to more than 520,000 people benefited from the initiative, which combined agricultural support with livestock protection and targeted assistance for female-headed families.
