
Islamabad, 11 October, 2026 (Ghufran): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has commended the security forces for successfully foiling a terrorist infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Kurram district, resulting in the killing of 12 Khawarij and Afghan Taliban personnel. Expressing deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of Naib Subedar Hidayat Aman during the exchange of fire, the prime minister paid rich tribute to the brave soldier for sacrificing his life in defence of the homeland. He said Naib Subedar Hidayat Aman had set a shining example of courage, bravery and professional dedication while safeguarding Pakistan’s borders. The prime minister extended his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace for the martyr and elevation of his ranks in Jannah, according to a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Wing. Reaffirming the state’s unwavering resolve, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan possessed the full capability to defend its borders and completely eliminate the menace of terrorism. He emphasised that no compromise would be made on the country’s national security and sovereignty, adding that the entire nation stood firmly alongside its brave security forces in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
