Lahore, 17 September 2026 (Kamran Raja): The Punjab government has issued a province-wide schedule for sports activities and competitions for students at all public schools across the province. Public schools have been directed to hold sports activities at least once a week, with school- and center-level competitions scheduled from October 12 to 23. Tehsil-level competitions will be held from October 26 to November 6, followed by district-level events from November 10 to 20, while provincial-level competitions are scheduled for November 23 to 27. The sports gala will feature hockey, cricket, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, athletics, football and chess, along with swimming competitions. District education authorities have been directed to complete preparations for teams and athletes, while public school administrations have been instructed to make all necessary arrangements for the competitions. The Chief Executive Officer of the District Education Authority Sahiwal described the sports activities schedule as an important task.
