Punjab IG Transfers 20 Officers to Key Posts

LAHORE, September 5, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Inspector General of Punjab Police Abdul Karim has transferred and posted 20 police officers to key positions in the Crime Control Department (CCD), traffic police and other important departments across the province. According to official orders issued in this regard, Humayun Iftikhar has been posted as SP CCD Muzaffargarh, Javed Tahir as SP CCD Multan, Muhammad Ishaq Sial as SP CCD Khanewal, Nasrullah Khan as SP CCD Sargodha, Adnan Ahmed as SP CCD Mandi Bahauddin and Rai Ehsanullah as SP CCD Nankana Sahib. Rai Nasir Abbas has been appointed DSP Headquarters CCD Punjab Lahore, while Mushtaq Ahmed has been posted as DSP AVLS City Lahore. Rais Ahmed has been appointed DSP Defence CCD Lahore, Anjum Tauqeer as DSP Kidnapping for Ransom Cell CCD Lahore and Atif Imran as DSP AVLS CCD Sheikhupura. Similarly, Haroon Elahi has been posted as DSP Headquarters CCD Multan, Habib-ur-Rehman as DSP Headquarters CCD Sargodha, Mujahid Hussain as DSP AVLS CCD Multan, Safdar Ali as DSP Legal CCD Gujranwala, Ubaid Ahmed as DSP Legal CCD Headquarters Lahore, Nasir Abbas as DSP Legal CCD Lahore and Shahid Siddiq as DSP Legal Investigation Lahore. According to the orders, Zaheer Ahmed has been appointed District Traffic Officer Nankana Sahib, while Asim Raza has been posted as District Traffic Officer Gujrat. Police officials said the latest postings were aimed at improving administrative affairs, strengthening departmental performance and making policing more effective across different parts of the province. The reshuffle is expected to further enhance the operational capacity of the CCD and traffic police while improving law-enforcement and public service delivery across Punjab.
