RAWALPINDI, 15 August, 2026 (Kamran Raja): Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation against terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan in the Shor Parod mountain range of Khuzdar, security sources said. According to the sources, intelligence information was used to identify terrorist hideouts, following which security forces cordoned off the area and conducted operations at several locations.The terrorists were reportedly present in three small groups. As security forces advanced towards their positions, the militants offered strong resistance and opened fire, prompting a retaliatory response from the security forces.As a result of the intense exchange of fire, 10 terrorists were killed and several others injured, the sources said. Several terrorist hideouts were also cleared during the operation.

Following the operation, search and clearance operations have been intensified in the area. Security forces are also conducting operations at various locations to track down terrorists who fled during the exchange of fire.Security sources said possible terrorist hideouts and the movement of militants in the area were being closely monitored, while additional measures were being taken to prevent any potential security threat.The sources further said security operations would continue until the complete elimination of terrorism, adding that efforts to pursue and apprehend remaining terrorist elements would continue and all necessary measures would be taken to bring them to justice.
