
Rawalpindi,14 August 2026(Ghufran): General Secretary of the Pakistan National Heart Association (PANAH), Sana Ullah Ghumman, has extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the people of Pakistan on the occasion of the country’s 79th Independence Day.
In his Independence Day message, Sana Ullah Ghumman said the occasion was not only an opportunity to remember the freedom and sacrifices of the nation’s heroes but also a reminder of the responsibility to protect and strengthen the Pakistan entrusted to the nation by its forefathers.
He emphasized that a strong country requires a healthy population, both physically and mentally, and noted that PANAH has been working since 1984 to improve public health through awareness and promotion of healthy policies and lifestyles.
“The strength of any nation lies in the health of its people. Only a healthy nation can build a strong country and a strong economy, educate its children, protect its families and play an effective role in national development,” he said.
Sana Ullah Ghumman urged citizens to make healthy living an integral part of their daily routines by adopting balanced diets, reducing the consumption of products high in sugar, salt and unhealthy fats, avoiding tobacco and incorporating regular physical activity into their lifestyles.
He also called for informed and responsible food choices, stressing that protecting personal health was an important contribution towards building a healthier and more prosperous Pakistan.
“On this Independence Day, we should pledge that just as we value the freedom and future of our country, we will also protect our health. A healthy Pakistan is the foundation of a prosperous Pakistan,” he said.
Sana Ullah Ghumman prayed for the progress, peace, prosperity and good health of the people of Pakistan.
He expressed hope that the nation would continue moving forward with unity, responsibility and a firm commitment to building a healthier and stronger future for the country.
