Islamabad, 5 August 2026 (Kamran Raja): The Foreign Ministers of the R-4 Group, comprising the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Republic of Türkiye, met in Amman on Wednesday to discuss the evolving regional situation and reaffirm their shared commitment to advancing peace, stability, and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. During the meeting, the Ministers reiterated their unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine based on the pre-4 June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.

The four Ministers emphasized that a just, comprehensive, and lasting resolution of the Palestinian issue remains essential for achieving sustainable peace and long-term stability across the Middle East. They stressed that resolving the conflict through internationally recognized principles is critical to ensuring security and prosperity in the region. The meeting also included a comprehensive review of the rapidly evolving regional situation.The Ministers reaffirmed the importance of continued consultation, close coordination, and collective diplomatic engagement among the four countries to address regional challenges and promote stability.Highlighting the importance of peaceful conflict resolution, the Ministers underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain the most effective means of preventing further escalation and fostering an environment conducive to lasting peace.The R-4 Group reaffirmed its commitment to working closely on regional and international platforms to support efforts aimed at restoring peace, strengthening cooperation, and safeguarding regional security.
