Saudi Arabia Ranked Safest G20 Nation as Advanced Security Measures Strengthen Public Confidence

Riyadh, June 29, 2026(Kamran Raja): The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has reaffirmed its position as one of the world’s safest countries, with security continuing to serve as a cornerstone of economic growth, tourism, entertainment, and an enhanced quality of life. According to data from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Indicators Database, compared with the 2025 Safety Index, Saudi Arabia has been recognized as the safest country among the G20 nations. The findings show that 97.7 percent of the Kingdom’s population feels safe walking alone at night in their neighborhoods, highlighting the country’s high level of public security and social stability. The achievement reflects the Kingdom’s comprehensive approach to maintaining law and order under its leadership, supported by sustained efforts of government institutions and security agencies to safeguard citizens, residents, and visitors.

The Ministry of Interior has played a central role in enhancing public safety through the implementation of advanced security initiatives, including the Unified Security Operations Center (911) and the Unified Crime Classification System. By integrating artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and automated security technologies into its operations, the ministry has strengthened crime prevention capabilities and improved emergency response services. In addition to deploying advanced technologies, the Ministry continues to conduct public awareness campaigns and maintain a strong security presence across cities, airports, seaports, and the Kingdom’s extensive land and maritime borders. These measures have contributed significantly to increasing public confidence and reinforcing a safe environment for both residents and visitors. Saudi Arabia’s continued investment in modern security infrastructure and innovative policing strategies reflects its broader commitment to creating a secure, stable, and prosperous society, supporting the objectives of national development and long-term sustainable growth.
