Rawalpindi, 1 July 2026(Kamran Raja): The Pakistan Armed Forces have successfully intercepted and neutralized four rudimentary drones launched by the Afghan Taliban regime across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border into Balochistan on 30 June 2026. The hostile aerial platforms, launched from territories under the control of the Afghan Taliban regime, were detected immediately by Pakistan’s robust and integrated air defence network. Demonstrating exceptional operational readiness and professionalism, Pakistan’s security forces employed sophisticated countermeasures to successfully neutralize all four incoming drones before they could pose any threat. Owing to the swift and effective response, the malicious attempt was completely thwarted. These provocative actions by the Afghan Taliban regime reflect its continued patronage and support of terrorist outfits operating from territories under its control. Such irresponsible acts appear intended to divert the attention of the Afghan population from the severe political, economic, and humanitarian hardships they continue to endure under the Taliban’s oppressive rule.
The Afghan Taliban must recognize that such reckless behaviour only aggravates the suffering of the Afghan people and undermines regional peace and stability. Rather than resorting to hollow rhetoric and provocative actions aimed at misleading its population, the regime should cease its sponsorship of terrorism, fulfil its international obligations, and adhere to the principles of peaceful coexistence and good neighbourly relations. Pakistan reiterates that while it remains committed to peace and regional stability, any continued provocations, cross-border aggression, or hostile acts against its sovereignty will receive a befitting response, the consequences of which will rest solely with those responsible. The Pakistan Armed Forces remain fully vigilant, prepared, and capable of defending every inch of the country’s territory. Any misadventure or cross-border provocation that threatens Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, or the safety of its people will continue to be met with swift, decisive, and overwhelming action under Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq.
