
Islamabad, January 09, 2026 (Kamran Raja): The Airports Security Force (ASF) has released statistics regarding its effective operations against smuggling carried out at all airports across Pakistan from January to December 2025.
According to the details, ASF personnel conducted operations throughout the year with professionalism, vigilance, and dedication at various airports, successfully foiling numerous attempts of narcotics smuggling. During these operations, 26.863 kilograms of heroin, 88.7 kilograms of hashish, and 3.113 kilograms of ice heroin were recovered. In total, 118.676 kilograms of narcotics were seized during the reported period.
During the same timeframe, ASF also carried out successful operations against the smuggling of precious metals, resulting in the recovery of 98.5579 kilograms of gold, with an estimated total value of approximately PKR 2.936 billion.
Furthermore, in actions against money laundering and foreign currency smuggling, ASF recovered USD 1,908,493, GBP 420,480, EUR 202,510, and SAR 2,799,385. In addition, other foreign currencies were also confiscated, bringing the total estimated value of seized foreign currencies to approximately PKR 1.507 billion.
