Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Meets HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the Sidelines of the Emergency Arab–Islamic Summit in Doha

Doha, 15 September 2025(Kamran Raja): Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, met with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the Emergency Arab–Islamic Summit convened in Doha in the wake of Israel’s recent attack on Qatar on 9 September 2025. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, were also present at the meeting.

The two leaders held warm and cordial discussions on the evolving regional situation following Israel’s aggression against Doha. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned Israel’s actions, terming them a deliberate attempt to derail peace efforts in the Middle East.

The Prime Minister expressed deep appreciation for the bold and sagacious leadership of HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in unifying the Ummah at this critical juncture. He assured the Crown Prince of Pakistan’s full diplomatic support, particularly at the United Nations Security Council—where Pakistan is serving as a non-permanent member—as well as at all other multilateral fora, including the OIC.

He further noted that the convening of the Emergency Arab–Islamic Summit in Doha had sent out a powerful message of Muslim unity against Israel’s unlawful and reckless aggression, which threatens regional peace and security.

Reaffirming the historic and deep-rooted fraternal bonds between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Crown Prince for the Kingdom’s steadfast support to Pakistan through all challenges.

HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed appreciation for the Prime Minister’s leadership and Pakistan’s active diplomatic efforts, including at the UNSC and OIC, to stand in solidarity with Qatar at this critical time. He also conveyed that he looked forward to welcoming Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on his upcoming State Visit to Riyadh later this week, which would provide both sides an important opportunity for a comprehensive exchange of views on bilateral, regional, and global issues.

The Prime Minister conveyed his warm respects and regards for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
