Riyadh, August 08, 2025(Kamran Raja): Under the esteemed patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the 45th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran will commence on Saturday, Safar 15, 1447 AH (August 9, 2025) at the Grand Mosque in Makkah. Organized and supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, this year’s competition marks a historic milestone, with participants from 128 countries—the highest number of nations represented since the competition’s inception in 1399 AH.
The event is recognized as one of the most prestigious Quranic competitions globally and stands as a testament to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s leading role in promoting Quranic education and programs.
