Islamabad – August 8, 2025(Ghufran): In a continued demonstration of Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people, the Government of Pakistan today dispatched the 18th humanitarian aid consignment to Gaza. The send-off ceremony, held at Islamabad International Airport, was officiated by the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Mr. Atta Ullah Tarar. Acting on the special directives of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, organized the timely dispatch of the relief consignment. The shipment includes essential humanitarian supplies such as dry ration packs, Meals Ready-to-Eat (MREs), and life-saving medicines aimed at addressing the critical needs of the affected population in Gaza.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the NDMA, and His Excellency the Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan. With this latest shipment, Pakistan has delivered a total of 18 consignments comprising 1,815 tons of vital humanitarian assistance to Gaza. This sustained effort underscores Pakistan’s firm and enduring support for the Palestinian cause. The Government of Pakistan reaffirms its principled position in support of the establishment of a sovereign, independent, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine, based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, in accordance with the relevant United Nations and OIC resolutions.
